As founder of Tiona Financial Services LLC, Jeff provides individuals with a range of specialized, comprehensive financial guidance for investment, retirement, and estate planning, as well as other wealth management needs. Jeff started his career with Waddell & Reed on December 15, 1995. At the time, Waddell & Reed’s focus was on working with families, and even today, no matter how large the client, Jeff still keeps that kind of relationship in mind.
He started his own firm in 2000 with the goal of providing a local, independently owned alternative to large, traditional brokerage firms. He has provided tax and financial planning services to individuals and businesses for almost 20 years and understands that clients want advice that is straightforward, understandable, and specific to their needs.
Jeff earned his BS in economics from the University of Oregon and spent the next eight years in several sales management positions while his wife finished medical school and residency. He holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network®, as well as life and health insurance licenses.
Jeff and his family have lived in Colorado since 1997. His wife is the chief medical officer of the Colorado Department of Corrections, and she and Jeff are the proud parents of five beautiful children. Jeff is an active member of the Rocky Mountain Sertoma club and is on the board of the Rustic Hills Improvement Association. He has also been very active in teaching Bible studies for small groups, churches, and prisons for the past 10 years. When he is not working at his office, he spends time at his house in Honduras, scuba diving and fishing.
